Ahh... I wish that I could say that hearing about ( yet another) Republican proven to be a gigantic hypocrite pleased me. However, these days, they're popping up so frequently that I'm just plain bored.

Governor Sanford of South Carolina has been outed as both a poor excuse for a husband, and a politician. The same man who voted to impeach Clinton for his extramarital affairs with Monica Lewinsky, is guilty of cheating on his wife. Sanford recently told his staff that he was going on a hiking trip when in fact, he was visiting his mistress in Argentina. If I had stood up to our nation and demanded morality from its politicians and cried eternal damnation for those ( Democrats) deemed guilty of moral indiscretions , I'd probably go to great lengths to cover up my extremely shitty and selfish behavior as well.

You would think that with Newt poking his sharpe-like face around lately that Sanford would have been reminded of what happens to those in glass houses that throw some major league boulders. For Newt also demanded the impeachment of Bill by day then went home to screw his ( long-term) mistress at night.

Many politicians, it seems, have historically been prone to questionable ethics. I can freely admit that party lines do not determine, or encourage " bad" behavior. However, what's really getting to me is the fact that it seems to be the Republicans who want to be the moral majority, yet they willingly indulge in private " immoral" lifestyles.

Hey, I'm all for morality. However, what takes a larger priority to me is honesty. And, to be honest, for certain members of the GOP, honesty is an easy sacrifice for a spot on the holier-than-thou soapbox .
