Man... can I turn on the news and not discover that there's yet one more corporation that needs to be bailed out with our tax dollars?

When does it end?

I hate to be the wet blanket here, but it's not going to end anytime soon. When I told you that our economy was going to get worse before it got better, it wasn't just an intimidation ploy to get you to vote for Barack Obama. Unfortunately it's the God's honest truth.

This "poor" teacher had to clear out a deferred compensation plan to compensate for a non-existent savings. The taxes on that ring to the tune of 25%... ouch! Now, I have preached to you about taxes being a necassary evil, however I am outraged at the thought of shelling out more of my hard-earned money because the asshole cronies of the Bush administration decided to have a de-regulated roullette game with our money.

First it was AIG, Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, now it's General Motors. The list of corporations that need to be bailed out is soon going to be longer than Santa's naughty list of the members of Georgey Boy's administration.

I am as angry as Joe-the Plumber! I can't believe that I'm even admitting to having anything in common with that ingrate! Next thing you know, I'll be claiming commonalities what that pathetic excuse for a woman, Sarah Palin ( and no, anatomical similarities do NOT count!). Why should I pay for people who were irresponsible with their money? Why should I watch more of my meager salary go to giant corporations who could have given a shit about their clients or our economy. Why should I support a car manufacturer that is out-dated and produces poor quality cars?

As pissed as I am, the answer is clear. If we don't bail them out, we will all be unilaterally affected by their downfalls. If GM alone goes under, it could mean three to five million jobs. In the wake of day-to-day lay-offs, coupled with a cash-strapped country, can we afford any more loss?

No.

As much as this sucks ( and, it does!), it needs to happen. I'm so angry and resentful towards the dipshits that got us into this mess. However, I'm not going to let my anger darken the glow that I still have over Obama's win!

Hang in there.
